The Third International Travelers’ Philanthropy Conference will begin in San Jose, Costa Rica on Wednesday July 20, 2011, with a half day “How-To” short course on Travelers’ Philanthropy, followed by an opening reception and dinner that evening.
Participants will then transfer together to the cloud forest of Monteverde on Thursday July 21st. Round-trip transfers between San Jose and Monteverde are provided for registered attendees. Conference workshops and plenaries will be held in Monteverde, and participants will be able to join a guided tour of one of the three pristine Private Reserves: the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, the Children’s Rainforest, or the Santa Elena Reserve.
Return transportation from Monteverde to San Jose (about 3 hours and 15 minutes by bus)

- Sunday July 24th departure:8am arrival: 11am
We encourage you to leave Sunday morning so that you can attend the closing dinner and reception on Saturday. To be safe, we recommend you to book the flights that depart from San Jose after 2pm on Sunday July 24th.
