Emboreet Secondary SchoolWith its global reservations and marketing office in Tampa, FL and Africa Operations based in Tanzania, Safari Ventures provides tours and other travel related programs to the North American market. They focus on custom designed tours to East and Southern Africa. With its owners originally from Tanzania, Safari Ventures provides the access and insights for destinations that permit their guests to experience the wonderful flavors, diverse culture, animals in their natural habitat and magnificent vistas of Africa. They have offices in New York City and Santa Clara, California as well as affiliate offices in all their destinations.

In 2005, Safari Ventures was awarded Tour Operator of the Year by the Tanzania Tourism Board. This award was based on their unique talent for blending commerce and intellectual tourism, promoting an area not only for its natural beauty, but also making vital business connections, encouraging networking and establishing reliable trading relationships.

Safari Ventures supports local sustainable development through the Africa Nature Conservancy Trust. Currently, Safari Ventures is seeking donations to contribute to the following project:

Emboreet Secondary School Construction

Total Project Value: $280,000

Safari Ventures is supporting the Africa Nature Conservancy Trust (ANCT) in facilitating and coordinating
the construction of a secondary school which will eventually accommodate to approximately 400-500
students from grades 8-13 (Forms 1-VI). The education and curriculum will be coordinated through the
Ministry of Education.

The campus is situated between the Emboreet and Loborsoil Villages and will serve the village needs. The
above mentioned villages are located in the Simanjiro District in Northern Tanzania.

Phase 1 construction is underway with 4 classrooms completed. The goal of the subsequent phases is to
build 6-8 more classrooms (each houses 30-40 –students), male and female dormitories, labs, teacher and
staff quarters, administrative office, sports and recreation area, kitchen and mess hall and all associated
equipment (furnishings, fittings and equipment). The focus is also to ensure that village girls get the same
level of education as their male peers.

Phase 1 Project Value: $80,000 (in progress)
Phase 2 Project Value- 100,000 (8 classrooms, labs, admin block)
Phase 3 Project Value- 100,000 (dormitories, mess hall & kitchen, staff quarters)
